A Little Trip to St. George

A few weeks ago, we went down to St. George to get away from all the stresses of life.  We got tickets for Bria and me to go to Little Mermaid on a Monday night and so we made a whole weekend of it.  We always go to our favorite park when we first arrive.  Bria spent the ENTIRE time on the monkey bars.  I don't know how her arms didn't just fall off!  She did get a blister, though, and she was not happy that it hurt to swing with that in the way!

There was a hill that Erik insisted was a mountain, so he wanted to hike to the top!  He has been obsessed with mountains since Derek and I hiked Mt. Timp. I think he just wanted to feel included!
Zak's first bath in Grandma's kitchen sink.  He of course loved it!
On Saturday, we spent the afternoon in downtown St. George.  We played at this really cute splash park.  It was actually really hot, so the kids took off their shoes and socks and went to town and got soaked!
Even Zak got a little wet:)

Then we headed over to the merry-go-round just down the hill.  It was so cute!
Across the street from where we were was a penny candy store/ ice cream shop.  We of course had to get ice cream!  The kids picked out a few penny candies and then saw the play dough ice cream and just about jumped out of their bodies, they were so excited!
 Mmm!

Monday came and I couldn't wait for that night!  I was so excited to just spend a fun night with my little girl.  We all went out to dinner and then Derek took us to the Tuacahn theater to drop us off.  Derek told me about this amazing outdoor theater, but I never would have imagined up something THIS incredible!  I was already excited just seeing the entrance going up the stairs with a waterfall down the middle.  I was already impressed!  Bria was skipping alongside of me, just giggling away.  I had to control myself and try to act like an adult, but inside I was just like Bria, all giddy!

We got fun little snacks to eat during the production and Bria just couldn't stop smiling!  I was the same.  The production was absolutely breathtaking!  The music was just incredible and the actors were top notch! It was truly a magical night!  Bria and I were both on cloud nine!
During intermission, we went to take photos.

Afterwards, we got up to leave and bumped into Sebastian!  I didn't realize we would get to meet all the actors.  Bria had a hay day finding all the characters to get a picture with!  The funny thing was that all the little girls were lined up to see Arial, but Bria didn't care to get in that line.  She wanted to see Ursula!
 King Triton
 Flounder
Ursula definitely was my favorite as well.  She was absolutely amazing!

I hope Bria will never forget this fun night.  I know I never will!
