Zak is 9 months old!

Last week was Zak's 9 month appointment.  He was 20 pounds (43% tile) and 29 inches long (77% tile).  Zak has been learning so many new tricks this last month!  He can:

say ma ma, ba ba and he did say "Biga" (Bria) two times.
climb up the stairs like a champ.  He is so fast!
crawl on all fours now.  He was army crawling for the longest time!
pull himself up to standing position on the stairs.
pick up anything with his amazing pinchers!  He is so good at finding things and can pick up the littlest things!

Zakery is such a funny baby.  He makes us laugh so hard, and everyone else!  During Sacrament meeting, he usually has an audience that watches him because he makes people laugh.  He knows he is funny because whenever we laugh at him, he laughs too.  He thinks he is pretty cool:)  In fact, there are two couples that sit by me every week so they can be in on the entertainment!

Zak is a determined little thing.  He remembers where all his favorite forbidden things are and doesn't give up until he gets them!  Every morning, I take him into my bed to nurse him and when he is done, he rolls over to Derek's side of the bed to look for the alarm clock, whether it is there or not.  If it isn't there, he keeps looking for it and eventually gets frustrated!  It is so funny.  He also won't play with board books.  They have to be able to rip and tear!  He is a very picky, little guy:)

I love to watch Zak concentrate when he is playing.  The other day, he had a rattle in one hand and he had this really focused look on his face, like he was lifting weights or something.  He would shake the rattle to death 3 times and then switch hands.  He did this over and over as if he were working out!  I can already tell he will be a hard worker with that kind of focus!  I just love this little guy so much!
