Car Accident

The day before we moved in, me and the kids were in a small car accident on the freeway.  We were driving Southbound and there was a lot of traffic.  The cars in front of us slammed on their brakes and we barely made it, but then my foot slipped of the break and hit the gas pedal and I ran right into the car in front of me.  Erik was asleep and remained asleep!  Zak and Bria's eyes were just really big, but nobody cried thank goodness.  I was glad my kids were okay.  Luckily I had my kindle and they watched Curious George while I filled out paperwork.  I was very impressed with how good the kids handled the situation.  I was in tears and could hardly breathe I was so upset.  I don't do well in these situations:)  I was really blessed because I had the nicest highway patrol officer.  

Derek met me to make sure the car was in good enough shape to drive.  The entire hood of the car was smashed and so we were worried it could fly off or something inside was damaged.  It seemed fine so we just drove really slow all the way home.

A couple weeks later, Derek took it into get fixed and it would take over a week, so we needed a rental.  I was hoping it would be something like a mini van so I would be excited to get my car back!  Well, this is what he came back with!  We had so much fun driving this around!  I think it was way too cool for me:)  It was SO hard to send it back and get our car back:(
