Last week, Derek went out of town on business, so the kids and I went on a little road trip! I hadn't been up to Logan for a long time, so we went up there the first couple days. Our first stop was my Aunt Carol's house. I always love going there because I feel at home and Carol treats me like a daughter. Usually I leave with an extra 5 pounds attached to my hips because she feeds me so much! She is so great and I really had a good time there. I also got to hang out with my FAVORITE cousins, Melissa and Caitlyn. Melissa actually just moved here from South Carolina and is staying with Carol until they get into their house. I am so excited she is so close now! Melissa, Caitlyn and I always have way too much fun and eat way too much when we get together! Caitlyn made incredible smoothies in her cool blender she got off a tv ad and then we watched Midnight Lace. Well, that didn't last too long because I kept laughing at all the accents and cheesy lines. I always ruin my cousins' favorite movies because I just can't be serious! Sorry guys!
The next morning we headed over to my sister's house. Bria especially loves going to her Aunt Holly's house because it is TOY HEAVEN! All the way there she kept saying, "Holly's house! Yey!" It was so nice to catch up with Holly because I hadn't seen or talked to her in a long time. I am just so glad she puts up with me! She is a great sister.
That afternoon we drove down to my mom's house. Bria was SO excited to see Grandma! We had so much fun with Grandma. We went to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch the next day and Bria had a blast! She got to play games, climbed through a train that was on the ceiling, and rode a car and a horse. She won 12 tickets so we went to the prizes and got her a sucker. She had one ticket left, so we just let her keep it. She LOVED that ticket. She carried it around the rest of the day, and if she couldn't find it she screamed, "My ticket!!"
On Friday, Dani and I went to get a manicure and pedicure. I have only gotten my nails done once, for my wedding, and swore I would never do it again! I hate having nails so I just got a pedicure and a manicure without the nails. We were laughing so hard because the Asian who couldn't speak any English kept saying, "Why?" I guess they were pretty bad! I don't have time to take care of my hands and even if I do, the next day they are ruined from cleaning and taking care of kids! It was nice to have one day having pretty hands!
It was nice to get away and spend time with all my family. I am so blessed to have such an awesome family and I just love them so much!
