What the kiddos have been up to...
I feel really bad that I haven't posted much about the kids milestones and accomplishments, so this might be a long post, but I need to record all this for my family. Erik and Bria have grown up SO much this summer and have changed so much. I hope I can remember everything since my last update.

This is how she draws her name! So cute.
Bria has also been so excited about helping around the house. Agent OSO is awesome because after one episode, I went in the kitchen and caught Bria doing this...
She LOVES washing dishes. I am sure this won't last too long! She is actually really good at making her bed too. In this picture, she made her bed all by herself. I did not touch it at all! Pretty good huh?
Bria is way good at folding washcloths too. She has got it down and I am so grateful!
Erik does not ever want to be left out! He loves the broom and the vacuum. Whenever he hears the closet open, he darts for it to get out the broom.
Bria is our little singer and loves to perform when she is in the mood. Her favorite songs are, "Do, re mi" and "So long, farewell"from Sound of Music, "I love to See the Temple", "I am a Child of God", and of course her ABC's. She never gets sick of her ABC's. I love hearing her sing. There isn't anything more precious than hearing a little child singing these songs.
Erik has been very busy. He is ALWAYS into something and I am always on my toes with him! He loves getting into drawers and pulling everything out and throwing it on the floor. I usually tell him to not do that and he responds, "No!" but he pronounces it now! It is really funny. No is his absolute favorite word. He also says stop, more, and Jesus. He isn't really interested in talking too much. He is perfectly content in screaming to get his way:)
Erik loves bathtime. Whenever he hears the water running, he is in the bathroom trying to climb in with clothes on or off! Even when he had his turn in the tub and Bria is taking a bath, he still tries to get in. He is so funny.
This is Erik's most favorite toy! His geo tracks are the love of his life! I store his train stuff on a box behind his crib, so it is kind of hard for him to get it, but he does everything in his power to get to them! He is such a boy. He makes all the sound effects with his trains and cars. I love it!
Shoes are usually scattered throughout our house between the two kids. I don't know what it is about shoes, but both my kids love trying on Derek and my shoes. Erik has Derek's flip flop on all the way up his leg in this picture!
Erik still walks with his legs straight. He is even running with straight legs! He is always running now. He knows when he is in trouble and runs away from me. He loves going in the street because he lOVES cars. He goes around to all the cars in our complex and tries to open the doors. He is so mischievious!
BRIA
Wow, Bria has been up to a lot lately. She started preschool the beginning of September and absolutely loves it. A few other moms and I are doing it together and it has been working out really well. Bria asks every day if she gets to go to preschool, so I know my friends are doing a great job teaching her! When she comes home she names all the kids in her little class and tells me how much she loves her friends. It is really funny.
Her ability to color has improved so much these past couple months. She draws people that have a circle for the head and arms and legs, eyes, nose and a mouth. We are working on getting the body, but I just love seeing her little mind work while she is drawing. She is now coloring inside the objects and is very particular about her colors. Bria loves doing her own drawings. She prefers construction paper over a coloring book because she wants to draw so many things. She draws people, the letters B, I, O, H, E mountains, dinosaurs, spiders, the sun, flowers and so many more things. On each drawing, she puts her name at the top. At first she drew little scribbles and said it was her name. Now, she draws a few B's and calls it good. It is so fun. Kid art is my favorite!
This is how she draws her name! So cute.
Bria has gone from our little toddler to our little girl. I can't believe how grown up she is. She is so much fun and makes us laugh constantly! She is great to have in our family. We will never have a dull moment with her!
ERIK
We have had so much fun with Erik in the family. I just love my little boy so much. He is such a cuddle bug and a big personality. I am so grateful for my cute kids!

Oh Jeni! I'm so happy that you blog so much because I really need it sometimes. Seeing my little kid's really made my day today! I just love em so much! and you and Derek. I miss you and I am SO happy for you. You all look so happy.
I love hearing what your kids are up to. They are so cute and are doing so many fun things.
Cute post and such cute kids! Wow, they've both changed so much since we last saw them. It's fun hearing what they are both up to. I love that Bria likes to help around the house, what a good girl!
What a scary experience with Bria! I am sure read on my blog about me having the same experience with Kenzi who was also in the car! I can totally relate to the feelings you had. You explained them so well. I also loved the updates. Bria is beautiful and Eric is super handsome. I can't believe how big they are!
Oh Jenny, my heart broke just reading your story below about Bria. Just a few moments of not knowing where your child is is so terrifying! Losing your little one is every mom's worst nightmare. I'm so glad it was a false alarm. I'm going to be more careful about keeping my eyes on Aiva after reading that!
