Erik LOVES music. He will sit on my lap and watch concert pianists on you-tube forever! I think he is going to be my little musician! He is on the piano most of the day. Whenever there is music on, he spins in circles or stomps his feet in the widest stance. It looks so funny, but so stinkin' cute!

Discovering the kids' talents...
Erik is 17 months old today! That means only one more month until nursery! Oh, wait, it doesn't help me at all since I get to sit all by myself with the kids during Sacrament meeting. I guess Derek will be happy since he has to take him for the last two meetings.
Erik has exploded with personality these past couple months! He makes us laugh constantly! He is WAY entertaining! For the past two months Erik has been making these sounds that were very staccato and always had the same rhythm. One day, I swore it sounded like he was singing ABC's, but that would just be too crazy! So, today I caught him three times! He is definitely singing his ABC's! It is SO cute. He just hums the tune and rhythm. He also hums "Love One Another." Derek sings that to him every night and so no wonder he loves to hum it. In fact, the other night, we were having family prayer and we decided to sing "Love One Another" before prayers. We were in Erik's room and as soon as we began to sing, he went over to his sound maker, turned it on, and went right to Derek and cuddled in. Oh my goodness, so sweet.

Bria is also improving on her singing as well. She can sing right on key and has the sweetest little voice. She sings "The Sound of Music" songs everywhere we go. We will be in the grocery store and there goes Bria singing in her loudest voice, "Do a deer, a female deer!" We get a lot of looks and a lot of smiles:) She is so much fun.
Bria is also starting to do different things on the piano. She tries to imitate my students, I think. The other day she was doing a trill and I got a little excited! Not very fast, but I can tell she has strong fingers and might possibly be a good pianist. I just hope she will want to learn the piano.
Bria has also been building a lot of things out of her blocks lately that I thought were pretty good. This is a train she built and I thought it was way cool. She builds swords, houses and people.

Wow, that train is impressive! I am not surprised one bit that both of your kiddos have musical talent. Hmmm.. I wonder were they get that from?
Your kids are sooo cute! That is neat how into music Erik is and I agree, that is a very cool train! I wish we could have heard Bria and Erik sing while we were at your casa. It was so fun seeing you guys for a few minutes! Thanks for letting us drop in. I can't believe we left without our caramel! We'll have to get together again soon! Love you guys!
