At least that is all Bria ever wants to do. Bria LOVES her grandmas. She talks about them all the time. Last Wednesday, we went up to Ogden to visit Grandma and Grandpa Jenson. All morning, Bria kept asking me when we were leaving. Since we were passing by Derek's work, I thought we should stop by and say bye to him, and Bria flipped! She yelled, "But I thought we were going to Grandma Jenson's!" Yes, Daddy was offended. On the way up she was telling me how much she loves all her grandmas, then she went on to tell me where they all lived. "Gramma Cat lives REALLY far away and Gramma Bear lives only a little far away." Bria has an incredible sense of direction for her age. She can pretty much direct us home from anywhere. As soon as we turned onto the street where Grandma lives, she guided me in with squeals and giggles. My Grandma lives in some condos and as you enter, there is a big Chimney on a rock. It is really strange, and Bria sure remembered, because that is how she knew to turn onto that road. What a smartie. Definitely didn't get her sense of direction from me! When we pulled in, Bria was so excited to see her Great Grandma, she could hardly contain herself! We went to Wendy's for lunch (my Grandma's favorite place to eat) and then came back to just chat. I put Erik down for a nap and when I came out, I wished so bad that I had my camera because Bria was sitting right next to Grandma reading a book. She was cuddled up to her so tight and it was so neat to see her having such a precious moment with her great grandmother. I hope she will always remember that moment and cherish it.
Then we went to my mom's house. Bria just adores my mom and loves playing with her. We didn't stay there long, because Emily invited us all over to her house for dinner and Bria was so excited to see her cousins. We had a delicious dinner and the kids played. Bria was having so much fun, that I couldn't get her to come with me when it was time to leave. It was so cute because Kaylie, my little neice, asked me if Bria could stay the whole night, and I had to tell her no. I hurt her feelings because I took Bria away. It was so sad. Bria begged to go back for the first ten minutes of the drive and then fell asleep. The next morning she asked me if we could go back to Kaylie's house. I am so glad that Bria loves and appreciates her family. She is just like me in that way.
A couple weeks ago, we went to St. George to visit another Grandma. Bria calls her Gramma Cat because she has a cat. On the way there, Derek asked Bria why she called her grandma Gramma Cat and she said, "Because she has a cat. A mean cat!" We were hoping to escape the cold weather, but were only given one day of good weather and then rained the rest of our trip. The first day was beautiful. We went up to Snow Canyon State Park to go on a hike and found the most fun place for the kids. It was a HUGE, natural playground!
Lots of climbing on rocks...

Lots of sand to play in...

and a cool, little tree for Bria to play in.

Erik taking a break.

We had so much fun that we may go there every time we visit. We had a great weekend. Bria, especially. She drew about 100 pages and made a book out of her drawings that she is so proud of.

How fun! I have always wanted to head south and go to all the state parks and see all the cool sights. I fear that the kids are too little though for that kind of trip. Sounds like you found a good spot though!
