Bria and Erik are the result of much laughter, love and joy. I just love them so much and am having the time of my life! Erik and Bria love each other so much. Whenever Erik wakes up from his nap, the first thing he says, "Ia!" He just says it over and over until he sees her. Whenever she leaves without him, he cries. Whatever she is playing with, of course he wants to play with. He just worships her! Probably won't last forever!

St. Patricks Day. I told Bria the day before, that she was going to eat green things all day the next day, and she said, "Ew. No mommy. That is gross!" So, the most we did was wear green. I did make asparagus soup, but my kids just weren't that excited about it! That afternoon, almost the whole neighborhood was out playing. Every kid was in green and it was so funny. You definitlely could tell it was St. Patrick's Day! Bria loved wearing her green shirt.

Bria is growing up so fast. She has so much love for life and gets so excited over the littlest things. She is a lot like me in that way. She has been working so hard these past couple weeks to earn her piggy bank and when she finally got it, she was so excited that you would have thought she won the lottery! She carries that piggy bank everywhere. I am proud of her, because she appreciates things and knows the value of work. On her chart, every time she obeys, she gets to move the train up on the track. There are little stations where she is supposed to get mini prizes, but instead, we put money in her piggy bank so that when she gets to the grand prize which is ice cream, she can use her money to buy it. Well, she still doesn't quite understand what obeying means, because she asks me every day, "Mom? Can I obey you?" and then I say, "Of course! Will you go make your bed?" and then she says, "I am too tired." It is pretty funny. She just wants to move up on her chart so bad.
Bria is really into reading right now. She doesn't quite know how, but she pretends and loves it. I am trying not to push it, because I don't want her to hate it, but I know as soon as she starts to learn how she will take off because her passion for books is unbelievable.
Bria is Erik's interpreter. She loves to tell me what Erik wants because he still doesn't really talk. The cute thing is- she is usually right! She loves helping him learn and is such a good big sister.

Oh, Erik. Erik is a little stinker. I have tried and tried to Erik proof my house, but it does not work. He is too smart and strong. I have put a lock on my fridge. He dragged a chair over, unlocked it on the first try and then when he couldn't get a chair over there because I was holding onto it so tight, he went over to the fridge and busted the lock right off! I have had to move all my valuables from the bottom of my curio to the top because Erik would just keep playing with them. I would put a chair in front of it and he would pick the chair up and move it! So now what does he do? Drags over toys as stools and gets into the top! I give up because he just doesn't. He is one determined little thing!

Besides being a little mischievious, Erik is such a sweetheart. He is so cuddly and so tender hearted. He loves his stuffed animals, especially his monkey. A few weeks ago, we left his monkey at my mom's house and he had to live without it for about a week. Going to bed was quite difficult because he would go to all of his stuffed animals and search for his monkey. So sad! When we finally got it back, he giggled and kissed it.
Erik loves his daddy. He is his bud and it is so hard when Derek goes out of town. Derek has been gone these past few days and it has been so hard on Erik. He keeps going to the window and crying, "Daddy!" He tries to open the door so he can find him and it is just so sad! Last night we were reading books and I heard my cell phone ring downstairs. I quickly got up and yelled to the kids, "It's Daddy!" Well, Erik thought I meant that he was home. He jetted down the stairs as fast as he could and went straight for the door crying, "Daddy!" I felt SO bad.
I love listening to music with Erik. He LOVES music and runs in circles whenever it comes on. Whenever he hears "Be Our Guest" he opens his mouth as wide as he can when they are singing really loud. It is so funny! Whenever he hears his train song, he pumps his arm up and down while yelling, "Choo choo!" And when his primary songs are on, he sings right along, and the very last word in each phrase, he sings. I love his passion for music. It is absolutely adorable!
Erik is also really big into books. His favorite book right now is "Color Zoo" because of all the window shapes. He knows all of his shapes because of that book. He just LOVES his shapes, especially circles. Whenever he sees a circle anywhere else, he goes to touch it while saying, "Gookle". His other favorite book is, "Oh my Oh my Dinosaurs!" He knows the color yellow because of this book and he also loves to say, "HOT!"

Isn't he so handsome? I love putting him in his church clothes, but I hate taking him to Sacrament meeting! He hates sitting in the chapel, but LOVES nursery! He runs into nursery and goes straight to his favorite nursery leader and sits on her lap. Derek was in there last Sunday and Erik was struggling because this nursery leader wasn't there. Erik threw a fit. He did not want to be there, but Derek just stayed with him for a little bit. As soon as it was snack time, however, he was just fine!
Kids are the best! I am so grateful to have two of my most favorite little ones with me all the time. I am so blessed!
