Little Mug Shots

This summer we are going to Canada and will need passports. I didn't realize there were so many requirements! I don't think they should be as strict with kids, but here were the requirements:

Include a full face, front view and open eyes
Make sure photo presents full head from top of hair to shoulders
Take the photo in a plain white or off-white background
Avoid shadows on the face or background
Face in photo should have a natural expression (closed mouth)
Photos should not include sunglasses or hats
The contrast and lighting in the photo should be normal

So, our entire night was dedicated to getting the perfect picture and this is how it went:

"Okay, Bria, just stand there. Don't smile. Don't frown. Okay, just keep a straight face. Now don't shrug your shoulders. Look right at the camera! Don't tilt your head. Oh, there is a shadow behind you!" Erik just didn't get it at all. We had to have Derek hold him and keep his hands down.
Well, if my kids ever get into trouble, I have their mug shot!
