Disney on Ice

Last Saturday we went to Disney on Ice together as a family. We had been telling Bria all week that she would get to see Mickey Mouse and Peter Pan in person and she was SO excited! Every time we would get ready to go anywhere, she thought that we were going to see Mickey Mouse. She would say, "I wanna see Mickey." It was kind of sad because she wanted to see him so bad and we just had to keep telling her, "Only a few more days." I guess next time we won't tell her until the day before!

Bria is a very different kid when it comes to stuff like this. When all the Disney characters came skating out, all the little kids around us were just exploding with excitement and waving to all the characters. Not Bria. When she loves something, she is so serious. She sat through the entire thing with wide eyes and such a serious face, but when we got in the car, she couldn't stop talking about it! She said, "I love it!" She is still talking about it.

After the show, we headed up to my parents' house for my dad's birthday party. It was so fun to see almost my whole family together. We are really starting to get big. Soon, we won't be able to fit in my parents' house anymore! The kids were running all over the place making it difficult to keep track of them! But they had fun together even though there were some tears and tattling! Gotta love it.

I have been thinking a lot about my family and all the trials my parents and siblings have gone through these past few months. I am so grateful for my mom's compassion and her attitude to endure to the end. I have watched her go through some really difficult trials in her life and have learned so much from her because she NEVER gives up. She always goes to Heavenly Father in prayer even when things seem impossible. She is a rock and has taught us well. I am so grateful for my siblings and for how close I am to them. They are really my best friends and I just LOVE being with them! We laugh so hard and get along so well. I am grateful for my step-dad. I know if he read this, he wouldn't believe me. Putting two families together is never easy, and I know it wasn't easy for him to have to live with me, but he gave me an older sister and two older brothers who I love very much. Then my parents had Dani, mending our two families together and I am so grateful for that. We have come so close together because of her. I love my family so much!

This is an old picture. Erik isn't in here, I am actually pregnant with him in this picture.

What a fun night out! I love Disney on Ice and I am sure it would be even more fun with kiddos! I also can't believe how big your family has gotten. There are so many kids! That is so fun and such a great thing to be so close with all of them.

Sounds like a really fun night! I've always thought it would be fun to see Disney on Ice. I'm glad that Erik's ear infection went away too!
