Well, today was a good day. We went to the doctor and found that the shot had cleared up Erik's ear infection. Thank you everyone for praying for him! We have witnessed many times that Heavenly Father has answered our prayers. Erik has been an extreme faith builder for us with his head deformation and this ear infection. I know that if Erik had to get the tubes, he probably would have been fine, but I was still nervous of the possibilities. We prayed really hard for him and Derek gave him a blessing and our prayers were answered. Bria even prayed for him in every single one of her prayers without me having to remind her. It was a neat experience to be able to teach her how Heavenly Father answers our prayers. I am just so grateful for our little boy and the spirit he has brought into our home. He is definitely a special little boy.
My testimony has grown so much in these last few months through our trials. Trials are given to us to strengthen us and to help us build our faith. I have felt the love of my Savior because I have had to completely rely on Him. I know that He is there and that He loves me. I am so grateful for a husband who is always kicking me into gear. He probably doesn't know I appreciate that, but I do! Derek has a great outlook on life and has such a good attitude. I am so grateful to be married to someone who has so much faith and is SO positive. Even in the most difficult of situations, he always picks out the good and what we should be learning from it. I am so blessed.

That is such good news! You always see the silver lining! My nephew kept getting ear infections all of the time; every time the elevation changed or anything; they finally had to put tubes in his ears...it wasn't so bad and it definitely cleared up all of the ear problems.
