Yep, our house flooded. I was outside cleaning up the backyard and came into a kiddie pool 15 minutes later. I panicked and grabbed every towel in the house, dropped them on the floor and watched the water just swim over them! Plan B, mopped it up while frantically calling Derek. Well, I thought I did pretty good when all the water was in a bucket, but then Derek came home and looked at everything that wasn't in plain sight and told me bad news. Our pipe exploded, so we will have to tear out the wall to replace it. The water damage was so bad, we had to rip up the entire flooring. The sad part is that the floor is only 3 years old and was in perfectly good condition! I watch a lot of HGTV and when they rip up the flooring, sometimes they keep what is there because it is either really retro or great hard wood flooring that just needs some touching up. Well, this is what we got- ugly linoleum. I guess it is better than concrete!
We are so lucky to have such good friends here. Jana made us dinner and helped out all day. Thanks so much Jana! I don't know what I'd do without you! You really are the best!

Thanks for the blog invite. That is so terrible your house flooded! I love HGTV too so I was laughing when you wrote about what was underneath your floor. I hope it won't take long to fix everything.
Oh my gosh! So what happened? Are you able to fix it or do you have to replace the linoleum?
Oh man Jenny! That is crazy! Your kiddos looked so cute on Easter. Thanks for the delivering the DVR for us. We really appreciate it!
Cute new blog, I love it! I am so sorry about your house. That is so sad. At least you get to get some new floor? Sigh.
Holy-Moly! That is cruddy! Now you get to feel like us for a bit (non-stop home repairs) and that is no fun.
