Visit the Hoenes Family! What a great vacation! Derek came home from work one day and told me he wanted us all to go visit our good friends, Taylor and Kali. Kali and I were good friends in High School and ended up living in the same married ward in college and wow do we have some awesome memories. I would have to say some of my funniest memories are with Kali. I am sure no one is surprised!
We stopped in St. George to break up the drive. We had a good visit with Grandma and Grandpa Anderson and went to our favorite park.
Bria loved crossing the monkey bars. She was pretty much doing it herself, but needed Derek underneath her to give her peace of mind!
Bria loves doing the spider!
We stayed the night at Derek's parents and left after lunch. We drove for 10 hours and our kids never cried! Amazing! I was very proud of both of them. Erik played with toys and Bria made a collage almost the whole way! I just bought her little foam stickers and construction paper and that kept her busy more than half the trip!
The next day, Kali, I and the kids went to the zoo while Derek went to a baseball game. Bria and Kenzi really hit it off. Bria is still talking about Kenzi. She definitely made an impression on her. She is quite the little girl though! Kenzi is the funniest little girl I have ever met!
The next day we went to the Desert museum. Bria touched a snake! I took the picture as she was taking her hands off him!
Best Friends!
Bria and Kenzi in the rock formation kids can crawl through. Really cool.
Erik eating the stroller.
On Saturday, we went swimming. I was so excited to take Erik swimming because he loves his bath so much. I just thought he would be extatic when we put him in a huge bathtub... not so much. He was so worried and just clung to us in the pool! After a while, he seemed to not mind the water so much. Bria is really excited to start swimming on her own that she just kept pushing me away and telling me, "I wanna do it!" She loves the water.
I think this is the cutest picture ever! Aren't they adorable?! Erik and Brooke are betrothed!
It was very difficult for Bria on our way home. She kept asking where Kenzi was. She would cry when she couldn't find her. My heart just broke for her! I felt so bad, especially since they live so far away! We had so much fun and laughed a lot, something that usually happens with the Hoenes'!
On our way home we stopped to visit Derek's cousin, Katie and her kids, Luke and Faith. Bria had a blast playing monster trucks with Luke!
We also went to the Grand Canyon
