And more camping!

Last weekend we went to our family's cabin and had a blast! Again, only when we weren't trying to sleep. Erik does not like camping, so we decided to cancel our camping trip this weekend and leave him with Aunt Teresa when we go to Yellowstone in a couple weeks. Erik screamed from 1 to 2 am and there was nothing we could do to calm him down! We ended up taking him out to the car and putting him in his car seat. He calmed down shortly after and went right to sleep. He doesn't like tents I guess!

Friday night we had some hamburgers and then dutch oven dessert that we cooked up. MMM! It was delicious! My whole family was there and we had so much fun! We sat by the fire and talked until midnight. We were laughing so hard, I almost cried!
This picture kind of shows the cabin in the background. As you can see, we don't come to stay in the cabin! It is very small, and it could be cute with some work, but what we come for is the INCREDIBLE property it is on. I never appreciated how beautiful the property was until now. There is a river that splits behind the cabin and goes around it, so you constantly hear the river. It is an amazing place.

Bria devouring her marshmellow. She LOVES those things!

Erik kept taking off Derek's hat and putting it on his head.

My cute and way cool sisters! Love these girls! Emily, my sister-in-law was already in the tent with her kids so she isn't in this one.

Saturday morning was so fun. Of course we were the first ones up! Last to go to bed and first to get up! Those are our kids for ya! Anyway, after waiting a couple of hours for everyone else to come out of their tents and trailors, we made the most amazing breakfast ever! I love camp cooked breakfasts over the fire. I made the pancakes over the fire beside my dad who cooked the hashbrowns and my sister and her husband cooked the eggs in their trailor. So, they cheated, but they were the best scrambled eggs I ever had!

Later in the day we got on our water shoes and walked through the river. It was so cold, but it felt so good! (I didn't mean for this to be in sepia, my mom took it and I forgot to change the setting)

Then we got even more creative with the river! The kids loved floating down in the floatie!

Of course there was some 4-wheeling and fishing...

My dad is an awesome fisherman. He only stands in a fishing hole for 2 minutes and he catches something!

Just way too cute of pictures I just love!

I just love camping, especially with my family and at that cabin where I have so many memories as a kid. I am so excited for my kids to experience all these fun memories.
