Happy Halloween!

I LOVED Halloween this year! Bria and Erik sure made it SO much fun! A couple months ago, I asked Bria what she wanted to be for Halloween and she said, "Captain Hook!" I just nodded my head and hoped I could help her a little:) She then realized she wanted to be Tinkerbell because she had wings and could fly. She was one cute, little Tinkerbell. Erik was a giraffe and looked absolutely adorable in it.

Last week we got all hyped up for Halloween by making sugar cookies. The kids loved mixing the batter with the hand mixer. Erik did not want to be left out, so he put his little hand on the mixer with Bria. I couldn't help it, and grabbed the camera...

Erik, when you are 18 and looking at this photo, I am sorry you are wearing a pink apron! That is all we had! Bria cutting out the cookies. She did a great job
Bria's decorating skills

On Halloween day, we woke up and ate waffles and smoothies. That morning, we just hung out and played with the kids. It was so nice to have no where to go, nothing to do, and NO stress! We had such a good time relaxing and enjoying each other. Derek has been incredibly busy all summer with traveling and then studying the past three months for his exam, we haven't really been able to spend any time with him, so I was soaking it all in! Especially since he is leaving for 2 weeks on Monday.
That night we went to the ward's Trunk or Treat. That was really fun. I didn't really want to spend a lot of time on decorating our trunk, so this is what we did and it turned out pretty good...

Bria loved the trunk or treat so much, she said, "I want more Trick or treaters!" Our friends invited us to come trick or treating in their neighborhood and wow! Some people went ALL out!
This is Erik terrified of the mummy. To tell you
the truth, I was terrified as well:)
Erik loved knocking on the doors. He has been practicing for a couple of weeks now. Whenever we were outside, he would knock on the whole row of townhouses, so he was really good at it when Halloween rolled around! It was so funny, because when the person answered the door, he fell in every time. It was hilarious!

I hope you all had a Happy Halloween!

That is the cutest little giraffe ever, and a pretty darn stinking cute tinker bell!! I love halloween with the kids, I am going to be sad when the day comes that they are too old for al of this. Colon is getting there, it was his last year for trick or treating. Little kids are sooo much fun on holidays!

I love those costumes! What a cute giraffe and tinkerbell. I liked the way you decorated your trunk too. Just simple & fun. I am hoping next year Brooke will be a little more enthusiastic about the holidays; right now she has no clue what is going on!

I love their costumes!! They are getting so big! Erik looks so grown up with his hair cut! I was just thinking, if Derek is going to be out of town (even if he is going to be home), feel free to bring the kiddos with you to the shower. There is plenty for them to play with downstairs and they are more than welcome to come. It will be good to see you again!

Such a cute giraffe and tinkerbell! They both are changing so much, Erik's hair cut really does make him look so grown up. Looks like you guys had a fun Halloween! My cousins last name is Larson, do you think it's the same girl?

P.S. Love the side picture of Erik in his Sunday clothes, what a stud!
