Visit from Grandma
Last Sunday, Derek and I spoke in church and our topic was family. I was going to tell my mom about it, but I never did because I just didn't think it was a big deal until I decided I wanted Bria to sing "Families Can be Together Forever". Thursday before we spoke, I had the idea to have Bria sing that song with us because she can sing it so beautifully. I told my mom on Saturday that Bria was going to sing in church and she didn't really sound like she would be able to make it. I didn't feel bad because it was kind of last minute. Well, Sunday morning while I sat there on the stand, my mom walked in as I began to stand up to give my talk. I was overwhelmed with so much emotion and love for my mom. I know it was a sacrifice for her to come, but she came anyway. My mom is the most incredible support and I know I can always count on her. I love her so much and am so grateful that she always puts forth the greatest effort for her children and grand children. Of course Bria was too nervous to sing, so it was just Derek and me singing, but the spirit was definitely there. Derek held Bria in his arms as we sang "Families Can Be Together Forever" and it was so hard to get through the song as I felt the love of my sweet family.

Erik wanted to perform for Grandma while she was there and of course she loved that! He is a great little pianist!
I love this picture of my mom with the kids. She is a wonderful Grandma.
