Missing Daddy

Derek has been gone for the past two weeks and we are really missing him! Last night, I put Derek on speaker phone to sing songs and have family prayer with us. I had Bria take the phone while I tried to lay Erik down for bed. Derek is the one who usually sings to Erik and lays him down for bedtime, and last night Erik really wanted Daddy to do it. I couldn't calm him down, so I went to get the phone and had Derek sing to him while I rocked him. Erik held onto that phone like a teddy bear and snuggled right in. As he was dozing off, I took the phone out of his hands and he just screamed! It was the saddest thing. He cried for 45 minutes and I felt SO bad! He really misses his Daddy.
