Christmas Day

Christmas was SO MUCH FUN this year! I was so excited that I made myself sick! Bria and Erik slept in until 8:00 and we got up and Derek and I ran downstairs to make sure Santa came. He forgot to do a few things, so Mommy and Daddy finished up while the kids waited on the stairs (a tradition I had growing up.) Erik was horrible at waiting! He kept sliding to the bottom and I would have to keep putting him at the top. The anticipation was just killing them! When it was time, Erik came flying down the first flight of stairs, slid around the corner and when he saw his stick horse, he fell down the second set of stairs. He was so excited that he didn't notice that he fell down the stairs and got up faster than he fell and RAN to Bria's horse. The two of them fought over that horse until we went over to Erik's stuff and got his. It was so funny!Erik wouldn't even open one present. Good thing we only wrapped the one! He was way too excited about all his new toys, he couldn't take any time out to do something like that!Bria loved opening presents. In fact, she was so helpful and even opened Mommy and Daddy's. Erik's favorite toy Santa brought
Bria loved her dress ups! And of course Bria was so excited to get "Up" and "Monsters Inc."
Then off to Grandmother's house we went. My entire family was there and we had a delicious dinner and then had our program.

My Grandpa singing his solo. It is always a treat to hear him sing. It brings so much comfort.

Don't we look like we just ate? Yeah, we did and were so tired.

After we read the Nativity and sang, all the grandkids got up and performed. At first, Bria would not go up there, but when the program was over and everyone had enough, of course she wanted to perform! I was so excited because she doesn't usually like being in front of a lot of people and she sang two songs practically by herself! The funny part was that she was throwing me and Erik back and forth as a nervous habit. It was so funny because Erik kept getting thrown down to the floor, poor kid.

Grandma and Grandpa Jenson. I love them so much.

Grandma Gibbons on the far right.
Grandma giving gifts out to the grandkids. She got the cutest clothes for all the kids and a little toy to go along with it.

Erik opening his present from Grandma
Bria loved her activity book Grandma gave her.
Erik playing with the rumble truck Grandma gave him.

We had a great Christmas and are so grateful for all we have! I am especially grateful for family and the time we have been able to spend with brothers, sisters, cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. I love my family and my Savior so much.
