Grandma Gibbons

My grandma, LaRee Lamb Gibbons returned to her Heavenly Father on March 24th, 2011.  I was so blessed to have her as my grandma.  She was actually my step-grandmother, but no one would ever know that by the way she spoiled us just as much as her own grandchildren.  When I was little, I thought her name was Grandma "Givens" because she gave so much to others.

Grandma made the BEST chocolate milk shakes.  She loved getting gifts for everyone and I loved that she always gave me clothes that didn't fit me because she just thought I was so skinny!  I always had to trade them for a bigger size:)  Grandma never missed a single event that I participated in.  She attended every piano, ballet, and choir performance and was so proud of her grandkids.  A couple months ago, my dad gave me a folder he found in Grandma's house.  Everyone was clearing her house out because she was in a rest home. The folder had my name on it.  I opened it up and everything that I ever did was in that folder.  Thank you notes I gave her, recital programs, clippings from the newspaper, everything!  She kept everything that every single grandchild did and stored them in folders.

I will be forever grateful for Grandma's example of love and service.  I am so grateful that I was given another wonderful grandma and I am so happy to know she is with her husband and family.  I will miss her so much, but I know she is so happy.
