Our last day we went to Avalanche Canyon and walked on the Trail of the Cedars. The kids were so excited to find a little hut in a tree! It was really tough getting them out of there! If I were a kid I am sure I would have wanted to stay there all day too, but we had even more marvels ahead of us!

Erik couldn't help running to the river as soon as he could hear the water. He went "fishing" and threw probably his thousandth rock of the trip in there:)

Bria loved climbing on the rocks and even pretended to be a frog jumping from one rock to the next. Again, the water was absolutely beautiful. I just wanted to drink it up!

I didn't know we were going to get to see a waterfall on this hike and it was a wonderful surprise! This was actually my favorite site of all. Of course the picture does not show how beautiful it really is, but I could have sat there for hours and just watched this amazing site.

We couldn't resist hiking to the top of the waterfall to look down at it.
We had such a great time together as a family and it just brought us that much closer. I love my husband and kids so much and I just loved watching my kids have so much fun, especially getting to be with Daddy all day every day for a week!

There is nothing like having Dad around. I feel like I haven't been gone that long and your kids look bigger. Man I miss them. I love the picture or Erik poking his head through the tree whole. I bet he loved throwing rocks in the water what little boys doesn't. What a beautiful place. I love that you got to go hiking too. How much fun!
I LOVE that hike. I have a habit of just looking at pictures and not really looking at the words. When I saw the pictures I thought, That's Avalanche hike in Glacier. I was shocked to actually read the words and figure out you were actually there! To see our pictures of the exact same hike, go to July 2008 posts on our blog and click on Glacier Park!
